Protein Flour Plant
The protein meal factory, located in the village of Chițcani, has the role of processing waste resulting from slaughtering and transforming it into protein meal used in the pet food industry. It is the first factory of this type in Romania, fully automated and with a commercial purpose. We own the largest continuous treatment plant, ensuring both responsible waste management and the full recovery of what results from the slaughter of chickens.
Sanitation
After each delivery, our trucks are cleaned and sanitized for the next delivery.
Safe products
The microbiological, physical and chemical parameters of our products are checked from time to time.
Export
The Safir family exports protein flours to 3 continents.
FFP capacity
The plant currently has a processing capacity of 240 tons/day and the investment of €9,500,000 was made in order to increase Safir’s competitiveness by improving its overall performance and better managing the by-products generated by the fowl slaughtering activity.

Technology
The Protein Flour Plant is fully automated and has a processing capacity of 240 tons/day and the resulting powder is used to manufacture pet food.
The Protein Flour Plant has the largest non-stop treatment plant in Romania, with a capacity of 3300 m3.
Certifications
The manufacturing process is currently monitored according to the HACCP plan in place.
SNCU delivery activities from generating units, the transportation, production and distribution are carried out in compliance with the requirements of an integrated management system: quality, safety, environment, occupational safety according to ISO 9001, 14001, 22000 standards certified by QS Cert.
