In addition to expanding our farms and striving to get closer to those who seek us out, enjoying the quality of Familia Safir chicken meat – Deliciosul de Vaslui, Zdravăn Moldovenesc, and Răsfăț Românesc – we are proud to inform you that in 2023, our family business significantly reduced its carbon footprint.

One of the important actions in this direction is our group's participation in the packaging waste recovery system implemented by GreenResources Management.

Thanks to our involvement, a carbon footprint reduction of 118 tons of CO2 was achieved. Saving 118 tons of CO2 is equivalent to the positive impact generated by approximately 5.9 hectares of forest.

Studies show that one hectare of mature forest can absorb about 20 tons of CO2 per year. Thus, our efforts to contribute to environmental protection translate practically into the CO2 savings that would be made in a year by 16 households combined. An average household produces around 7.5 tons of CO2 annually through activities such as driving, heating the house, and using electricity, without considering the emissions produced indirectly by consuming products that involve other amounts of carbon dioxide emissions during their production process.

The Safir group recycles or recovers the waste resulting from production processes, thereby reducing the negative impact on the environment. In addition to this – without using grand words – we can say that we are already seeing the results of our constant commitment to the environment and the community – reducing water and energy consumption year after year and minimizing pollutant emissions through investments in modern and innovative technologies.

Iulian Safir, one of the two brothers who run the family business together with their father, has this as his main concern – modernizing the business, reducing emissions, and raising the entire group as high as possible on the sustainability scale. As in everything we do, we also want to show here our business creed: the way to be good: to the environment and the community, to those around us.

We do not stop here: new projects are to be developed in the near future. Additionally, we collaborate with responsible suppliers who adhere to high standards regarding environmental protection and support non-governmental organizations and community projects that contribute to overall well-being. Through these actions, we take responsibility for the environment and contribute to maintaining ecological balance, demonstrating that #TheWayToBeGood is learned in the family and shared with the community.
